| Hve you printed out any ebooks? | | I usually think it is alright to read the ebooks by the computer or cellphone. But sometimes it is not enough. I still prefer to read it as a normal book. Lately I found out an ebook which I like. It is called Mastering the Art Of French Cooking. I will print it out so that I can read and make the dishes according to this book. I know it is a little crazy because it has about 735 pages. Of course I like to buy this book, but it is not available here. So I have to print it out. I like cooking[em]happy[/em] I will have to look up the dictionary for many words. If I can finish this book one day, at that time my English/French and cooking will already make a big progress[em]lol[/em] | |

| | 5 favorite cookbooks | | What are your top 5 favorite cookbooks and why? Mine are...1.La Methode/La Technique: Jacques Pepin- Two books actually, but they are fascinating and vital not so much a recipe book but a picture guide to cooking preparation and technique.2.Mastering the Art of French Cooking: Julia Child- A book that I read as a youngster and influenced my choice of profession and fostered my love of food and cooking. As well as containing great recipes.3.King Arthur Flour Baking Companion: Incredible book for learning the baking arts. I have yet to find a bad recipe and all are written in a quick easy and concise manner with tidbits of general baking knowledge as well.4.The Joy Of Cooking: Irma Rombauer- A classic that I read when young and have used throughout my life.5.The Professional Chef: Culinary Institute of America- A book I used while at the CIA, which was rather old and out dated at the time. Now updated it has become relevant, even required for anyone interested in how the professionals do it. | |

| | Another Mile Stone | |
I suppose it comes with age, that you begin to see the mile stones scattered across the path of the journey that ends in your death.. that's right! the journey you have been on all of your life ends... and you don't survive it.. or either ya do.. I suppose it's all in how you look at it.I was thinking today, that with another year of this journey behind me, that I've learned some pretty important things along the way.. and I decided to jot a few down..Welcome to a glimpse of my journey thus far..I've learned that life truly isn't fair.. it's a messed up place where rules are broken, promises aren't kept and forever is whatever you want it to be. it can be break your heart, bend you, mangle you, and break you in half.. but it also contains some of the sweetest things you've ever known.I've learned that optimism and pessimism are twins! it's all in the wording... seriously!I've learned that no matter how much you complain.. the toilet seat will still always be up when you don't turn the light on, the toothpaste lid will always be left off and the world doesn't stop when you feel too bad to go out and play.I've learned that some people just get off...
| | Do you prioritize or procrastinate? | | I know that I am more of a procrastinator, which can be stressful, but I have worked at improving it, even though I am not always successful. I have more time than ever now that I am semi-retired but I piddle away some of my time with things that do not need to get done and then rush to get other things done at the last minute, although I do work well under pressure, too. LOLHow do you handle things? Do you make lists and stick to them or do you put things off as long as possible? What made me think of this was reading this...

| | Lifestyle Changes-How many have you Made? | | I was just reflecting on my life, after a hard day, and was wondering how many other people have had such drastic lifestyle changes? Our most drastic lifestyle change was when I found out I was pregnant. We had a fantastic adult lifestyle. We traveled 2 or 3 times a year, for 7-10 days each. We had cars and trucks. Our toys included a Jeep, 2 quads, dirt bikes. We both had motorcycles. We bought what we wanted, when we wanted. I always had my hair and nails done, I wore silk and lace. DH bought expensive saltwater fish and treated our 2 Rotties to Doggie Day Spa trips. Then we talked about changing our lives to fit in a baby. It took 4 years, but I was finally pregnant. We sold the trucks, the Jeep, the motorcycles, the quads. (He kept the dirtbike.)
The furthest we travel now is to Cape Cod. We still buy what we want, but wait until tax refund time. I haven't had my hair done in over a year, and oh, WHAT fingernails??!! I haven't worn anything but cotton and denim in about 2 years. Our beloved Rotties have died and we have only one saltwater fish now.
We drive a minivan, our biggest joys in life are watching our 3 YO learn to ride a bike, build first snowmen and...
| | How do you let go after a failed relationship? | | They say it's the most intricate art of all: the art of letting go. Is this really so? From my own personal experiences, I think I can safely say that mastering the art of letting go is a continuous process. Why? Because no matter how hard you try to scrutinize a possible partner, you actually don't get choices about things like this in life. You fall in love with the people you fall in love with and the one you fall in love with today may be different from the one you fell in love with before him! Personalities and characteristics vary. This being the case, I believe that there's a different type of 'letting go' for each failed relationship we experience. But even so, I think the fact that you go on living after picking up the pieces of your broken heart and willing yourself to move forward is the start.Based on your personal experiences, how did you let go? | |
| | The Lost City of Atlantis versus Pyramids around the World | | My concept of Atlantis:Atlantis was the last-line of the past Earth generation before our Stone Age era had begun. Many believe it's not exist, but many hieroglyph in Pyramid, especially in Egypt had such 'unique' carving. It's carved a submarine, chopper, and other means that was hard to recognized in their era. Atlantis was brought down by their own tools. They are not only mastering the tangible technology, but yet also mastering the art of Spiritualism. Atlantis was in a vicious civil war and was left in a vacuum time of leadership. Altogether every powerful side tried to become a successor of the king. They accumulated and lending the spirit energy from energy and stroke upon each other. But nature was not allowed itself to be 'unbalanced'. Once the energy was soaked up too heavy, it lead to a huge disaster; volcano eruption, flood, storm, etc; and caused the judgment day for the Atlantis civilization. The harmony once was preserved well now is in the destruction's gate imminently. In the hidden section of unveiled chamber of Pyramids may have the knowledge of Atlantis appearance. It's just waiting for the right person and right mental to accept such... | |
